Description

Advanced Workshop: Narrative Coding & Workflow Engineering

Stop Visiting AI. Make It Work For You.

Daily Maverick and Imagineers.ai invite GenAI Masterclass alumni to a two-day advanced workshop focused on practical, local-first AI execution: running models and workflows on your own machine, not inside browser chat windows.

Limited to 12 participants | Venue TBC (Rosebank/Sandton, Johannesburg)

Why This Workshop

In the Masterclass, you saw the shift:

  • from prompting in cloud chatbots
  • to operating AI directly from your laptop
  • with tighter control over context, outputs, and process

That shift is now becoming standard practice. This session is designed to help you implement it in your own work, end-to-end.

What You Will Learn

This is a two-day hands-on intensive session. No theory-heavy lectures.

  • Recap Session (Teams, Friday afternoon 27 March)
Markdown, Obsidian, prompting, and advanced interaction patterns
  • Fundamentals
    CLIs, apps, IDEs, and GitHub
  • Running AI on Your Machine
Setup, security, tooling, skills, and plugins
  • Workflow Engineering
Designing and operating autonomous workflows in natural language

Capstone Build: Lead Generation Workflow

You will build a working lead-generation workflow you can take home and run locally. This applies whether you are:

  • a business finding customers
  • a professional prospecting for clients
  • an NGO identifying funders

Outcomes

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • operate AI tools on your own machine with stronger security and control
  • review, create, and transform artifacts (docs, sheets, slides, code)
  • design workflows that AI can run autonomously from natural-language instructions
